Luther Seminary sent me your ebook on Acts and that led me to your website and then to here. Your story is fascinating and very inspiring. 40 years ago, I was a Religion and Art major at Luther College. I wasn’t ready for my calling yet, so after 2 years I joined the Navy. I am now thinking of pursuing my bachelor’s degree and then possibly seminary. I am listening to the guides of my journey, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God Bless You! ❤🙏🏻

Be forever blessed my brother and you are in Christ Jesus. He said as the father has loved me so I have love you and wants us to remain in his Love. In John 17 he ends his prayer like this “I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬ When he teaches, discipline , correct, comfort, guide , reveal to us the the father it’s all in for this purpose. So that the love the father has for us may be in us and he himself may be in us! Thank you for your ministry it’s so beautiful may the Lord reveal more and more of the Love he has for you so that you can love others with the same Love you receive!

unfortunately i believe this to be a wrong interpretion of verse 2. I believe btw that Christians can't lose their salvation (just to put that out there). And this passage is often used by others to claim Christians can which is wrong. Or they interpret the start of verse 2 (every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away) and verse 6 as either works ti be burned up or false converts. Both are wrong. Verse 2 says "Every branch IN me" - these branches are believers as they are IN jesus. Verse 3 confirms they are clean. Sometimes Christians dont bear fruit. God changes this by lifting us or taking us away so that we can bear fruit. An understanding of vineyards are vital here. John 15 does not speak about trees. It's about vines. NOT wood or deadwood. Verse 2 - "take away" can be better translated in the Greek as lifted up, raised etc. this is a GOOD thing and shows the love of the father and as the vinedresser and the one in control he wants to see those IN Jesus (believers) bear much fruit so will lift us into situations where we CAN bear fruit. A proper understanding of verse 2 is vital and this only comes from understanding how VINES work and grow. Branches on vines that don't produce fruit must be moved or lifted up so they can produce fruit. Verse 6 is NOT speaking about believers. Those who don't abide (Those who aren't in Christ Jesus / don't believe) will get cast into the fire like branches. It's not about service or the works of an individual. It's about the individual themselves. These verses do describe the Christian life and God's will and divine orchastraion as the vinedresser to help believers bear fruit whilst also pointing to the truth that outside of Jesus we can do nothing and are DEAD. Those in verse 6 are unbelievers and are dead in their sins and because they dont abide they will be thrown in the fire (hell) I appreciate this verse is often misunderstood and unfortunately as well intentioned as pastors may be they often get this wrong. Most people do. But again a proper understanding of vines, vineyards and HOW they grow is critical to understand the meaning behind this analogy Jesus uses. God bless you all, let's continue to Love God and Love others. Continue to pray for the unsaved and evangelise to them so that they do may abide in Christ.

I am confused -Isaiah Chapter 6 -“Jesus Christ said Here I am send me”. I understand God is outside of time and space but I don’t understand this verse. Jesus Christ existed or was created before he was put on earth? If God and Jesus Christ are one how does he tell God to send me?
